About the Author
Etienne Gilson was born in Paris in 1884. He became Professor of Mediaeval Philosophy at the Sorbonne in 1921, and from 1932 until his retirement in 1951, he held a similar chair at the CollYge de France. From 1929 until his death, he was affiliated with the Institute of Mediaeval Studies at the University of Toronto.

A very disciplined read, but very worth it.

Gilson's work on the philosophical side of Aquinas is a masterful work. It reflects a very mature appreciation of Aquinas, which serves as a very good basis for his exposition of the philosophical side of Aquinas's theological work. Make no mistake, it takes a very focused reading to appreciate the extremely subtle insights that lay at the heart of Aquinas's reflections on Being. Without such a disciplined readying the exposition will dissolve into seeming endless, nuanced abstractions that even Gilson will not be able to surmount for you. Bringing such dedication to the reading will reward you with nothing less than Beauty and a true appreciation for why Aquinas is "Saint Thomas Aquinas".

This book covers teeth replacement options whether it is bridges, dentures or implants. Of course, dental implants is the preferred way to go for comfortable lasting results. It is well written with a lot of good information. However, there are many "typos". It leaves the impression that it was dictated into a speech to text program and then not proof read. If you can wade throught the typos, it is quite informative.

Trailblazer of Truth

The world needs more people like Kim Gowdy. She’s a giver, a trailblazer, and—as you’ll soon discover—she’s also a Freedom Fighter and Truth Teller.

You probably understand the giver part. She’s never short on dishing out sincere compliments and strategic prayers offered on your behalf.

The trailblazer part?

She’s willing to jump in and cut a path of adventure and risk. She’s also made it a daily habit to truly live. The alternative doesn’t sound too appealing and yet so many choose slow death, rather than abundant life.

But now for the Freedom Fighter part.

About the Author
Robert Gooding-Williams is Ralph and Mary Otis Isham Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago.

Royster is a professor of English at the Ohio State University.

Booker T. Washington was an African-American teacher, author, presidential advisor, and civil-rights leader. Born in Virginia in 1856, Washington was of the last generation born into slavery. After emancipation, Washington attended college in Virginia, and gained fame as a result of his 1895 speech about the importance of educating African Americans and his belief that African Americans were capable of great feats through education. Washington s contribution to educational equality was made greater by his influence in the social circles of millionaires and self-starters, and he was the first African American invited to the White House by President Theodore Roosevelt.

Booker T. Washington published five books with the aid of ghost writers, among them his first autobiography The Story of My Life and Work and his bestselling second biography Up from Slavery, which earned him his invite to the White House. Washington was also responsible for founding the National Negro Business League, which has, since 1966, been incorporated into Washington D.C. as the National Business League.
